Helsinki in a nutshell
10 Things to know about Helsinki
Do Finns really drink the most coffee in the world? And how often do we actually go to the sauna? This 1.5-hour walking tour answers these questions and more, covering Helsinki’s highlights for visitors with only a short time in the city.

What to expect?
In just 1.5 hours, we’ll walk through the heart of Helsinki and answer the ten questions every visitor secretly has about Finland, Helsinki, and Finns themselves. We’ll start at the Havis Amanda statue, Helsinki’s unofficial symbol, before strolling through the Market Square (Kauppatori) and past the Town Hall. From there, we’ll pass the Swedish Embassy and the Presidential Palace, pause by Allas Sea Pool, and take in the striking Uspenski Cathedral before arriving at Senate Square, one of the most photographed spots in the city. We’ll finish near the Insurance House and Aleksanterinkatu, Helsinki’s main shopping street, ending the tour at Rautatientori, right by Central Station. Fast-paced, fact-packed, and full of the kind of stories you won’t find in a guidebook.
